Every young child has aspirations for their future careers. Children have a tendency to dream in crazy, imaginative ways, but the jobs that actually enable you to earn a substantial income are frequently rather ordinary.
However, that doesn’t mean you have to accept a life that is boring. This 15-job salary can buy you all the pleasure and relaxation you want.
GoBankingRates used data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics to determine the median salary for 15 occupations nationwide in order to identify those with the highest incomes. We determined the employment amount, hourly mean wage, hourly median wage, yearly mean wage, and annual median wage.
We sourced all occupations from the Broad Group using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics. We ordered the top 15 occupations from highest to lowest earnings. Take a look.
- Managers of Sales and Marketing
Products rarely sell themselves. They require skilled individuals who can develop and promote brands, come up with seductive advertising campaigns, and persuade consumers to purchase their products.
People skills, creative or design abilities, and the ability to set and negotiate contracts, as well as persuade individuals and businesses to sign on the bottom line, may be required for these positions. By 2032, this field will have grown by roughly 6%.
- Attorneys and Court Clerks
These are the people we depend on to represent us in legal situations, even if the majority of lawyers (also known as attorneys) probably don’t get to have a grand day of eloquent monologue in court as seen on TV and in movies.
In order to assist judges rather than clients, judicial clerks do many of the same duties as attorneys, such as gathering, evaluating, and presenting material. By 2032, employment in this profession should increase by almost 8%.
- Information and Computer Scientists
A computer and information research scientist most likely contributed to the development of artificial intelligence (AI), whether you use it in your daily life or at business. These experts create, construct, and enhance computer hardware and software.
These people keep us at the forefront of technology, whether it’s robotics, computer code, desktop computers, or algorithms. It’s a rapidly expanding field as well, with a projected 23% growth by 2032.
- Physicists and astronauts
Astronomers and physicists are possible careers for those who genuinely want to understand the secrets of the cosmos, including the big physical objects like planets and stars as well as the minuscule atomic-level particles of matter that make them up.
Both of these positions require a high degree of mathematical knowledge. These people may work on the creation of telescopes or other tools, conduct extensive research, or study the very structures that comprise matter. We anticipate a 5% increase in employment in this sector by 2032.
- Managers of Finance
Professionals that are passionate about statistics, organization, and tax laws and regulations as they apply to a particular business or organization are known as financial managers. These individuals work in accounting, billing, reimbursement, regulation, and other related fields on a daily basis.
Controllers, treasurers, credit managers, cash managers, risk managers, and other financial managers are just a few of the many job types in this industry. It’s a career for people who are meticulous and don’t get bored with routine work. Experts predict a 16% growth in this field by 2032.
- Managers of National Science
Children who win science fairs may end up becoming managers of the natural sciences, who work closely with researchers, product developers, and other scientists.
Many people in this position were scientists, but not all. Among other things, they might oversee or manage research initiatives or be directly involved in laboratory procedures and testing. We expect this field to develop by about 5% by 2032.
- Physiotherapists
Podiatrists are medical professionals that specialize in treating conditions affecting the feet, legs, and any associated diseases, conditions, and injuries. These medical professionals must also be knowledgeable about conditions like diabetes that cause issues with the feet, toes, and legs.
You’ll be pleased that these experts are available to treat you, regardless of whether you have an ankle sprain or a foot or leg disease problem. We expect this industry to remain relatively stable between now and 2032, with no significant job growth or reduction.
- Pilots and flight engineers of aircraft
Earnings are high for individuals in the jaunty captain’s hats who greet you on commercial and other types of flights, schedule these itineraries, and much more.
This comprises engineers and pilots who transport both people and products. Because safety is the most crucial factor, this important activity requires a concentrated attention to detail.
- Dentists
In addition to making young children cry, dentists also maintain your teeth, do fillings and other dental work, and even examine your mouth for indications of cancer or other illnesses. For being able to chew your food well into old age, you can credit your dentists. Experts predict a 4% increase in this field over the next ten years. - Managers of Engineering and Architecture
Important leaders oversee the construction of buildings and homes, ensuring strict adherence to plans, rules, and other factors. These are the persons who might be in charge of the architects, construction workers, and many others in between.
They most likely have a say in recruiting, equipment requirements, and budgets. If an issue arises, they are likely to bear responsibility. Experts predict a 4% growth in this highly specialized sector over the next ten years.
- Managers of Computer and Information Systems
Your business needs one or more computer and information systems managers, or IT managers, if it depends on technology, which, let’s face it, practically all of them do in one way or another.
These are the people who assist in the establishment, management, and organization of computer systems. Chief information officers, chief technology officers, and IT security managers are a few examples of jobs in this field. We expect this field to grow by 15% over the next ten years.
- CEOs
The media frequently discusses well-known CEOs who have achieved a level of fame that is comparable to that of some celebrities, such as Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, or Jeff Bezos, the former CEO of Amazon.
The typical CEO, on the other hand, is just a person who turns up to work in order to develop rules, guide businesses, and ensure that they accomplish all of their objectives, whether they be financial or administrative.
- Nurse Anaesthetists
A nurse anesthetist, a registered nurse with additional training in anesthesia delivery, is most likely to administer anesthesia if you require it prior to a medical treatment. In addition to monitoring your vital signs while you are under anesthesia, this person may provide additional care both before and after your treatment.
We expect this lucrative profession to rise by an astounding 38% over the next ten years.
- Doctors
In addition to diagnosing and treating illnesses, physicians can also do surgery like surgeons; however, this is rarely their primary focus. Although doctors can specialize in a wide range of fields, the average person’s regular doctor is usually a general practitioner.
Similar to surgeons, we expect this field to grow by 3% over the next ten years.
- Physicians
These are the key doctors who diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries through surgery, whether you’ve had surgery yourself or have only seen episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy.” They usually hold a medical doctor’s degree (MD) or a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree (DO).
Because of the enormous stakes involved in the work, this area pays extremely well. Over the next ten years, the Bureau of Labor Statistics anticipates a 3% pace of job growth.
